Wild nettles have been used worldwide for generations as a fiber source for textiles. Learn about the history and process of transforming nettles into fiber in this Urban harvest class with instructor and artist Carla Klinker.

In this two-part class, get hands-on with fresh nettles and process the raw material to let dry overnight. Gather again in the morning to create your own reverse twist, double-ply cordage to take home. $25 materials fee. Registration required; Registration is for both sessions.
