Join Alaska Community Action on Toxics (ACAT) for an evening a film screening of Plastic People. Named one of the best documentaries of the year, Plastic People examines the growing threat of microplastics on human health. Journalist Ziya Tong talks to scientists and undergoes experiments in her home, on her food, and on her body to determine just how pervasive plastics are and what can be done about it. Gather with other community members for a light appetizer reception before the film screening and dive into a short, guided conversation afterward. Free, sponsored by ACAT. Registration recommended, please use 7th Avenue entrance to access.
