Cook Inlet Historical Society Presents: Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Alaska Constitution

Matt Peterson practiced law in Alaska for 43 years. He is retired from his law practice as a trial lawyer but continues professional work as a Mediator and Arbitrator. Matt is a Retired Emeritus Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the National Association of Distinguished Neutrals. He serves on the Board of the Professional Mediators of Alaska. He is a member of the United States Supreme Court Historical Society. While serving on the Alaska Bar Association's Committee on Fair and Impartial Courts, he conducted oral history interviews of delegates to the 1955 Alaska Constitutional Convention. The Brennan Center State Court Report recently published his article on the Alaska Constitution. He has spoken to many community groups, lectured and taught courses on Alaska Law, legal ethics, trial and courtroom skills, the history of the Alaska Constitution, and Great Trials of History.
