About the Speaker
The Momologue Collective is a social art practice, created by multidisciplinary artist Brianna Allen. The on-going project collects short stories about motherhood and shares them anonymously online. This approach to storytelling builds community through safety, inclusion, vulnerability and trust and remarks on the culture of American mothering. Allen’s social art practice informs her visual art practice through painting and performance. The Momologue Collective is a place self-identifying mothers share anonymous stories among an artistic community exploring the complexities of motherhood.
