Hear from Anchorage-based veterinarian Mandy Seymour, DVM,  about the co-evolution of dogs and humans throughout history, behavioral dilemmas faced by modern dogs living in cities, and general learning theory (such as why positive reinforcement works best). About the Speaker  
Mandy Seymour, DVM, completed her training in veterinary medicine at Ohio State University in 2008, then went on to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona. In 2024, she completed a master's degree in Animal Welfare and Behavior at the University of Pennsylvania. She's been practicing in Alaska since 2010. In addition to her general practice duties, Seymour is also a Resident in Training with the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.
