Come together to read and discuss works of fiction and non-fiction focusing on the history and cultures of the Circumpolar North. The Anchorage Museum Book Club meets four times a year; join us for one or all of our meetings. After each book club discussion, explore the museum’s galleries and look at art, objects, and cultural belongings related to the book.
November’s meeting will discuss Nuking Alaska: Notes of an Atomic Fugitive, a graphic novel by Peter-Dunlap Shohl about the nuclear threats to Alaskans during the Cold War. Recommended for adults. Included with admission; registration required.
Need a copy of the book? Check out the Anchorage Museum Store or visit the Anchorage Public Library.
