How To Survive Presents Urban Harvest: Low Waste Kitchens

5:30 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24

Seed Lab, 111 W. 6th Ave.

In-Person Event

A low-waste kitchen is a practical way to partake in climate-informed habits. In this hands-on class, participants will create an alternative to plastic wrap to use in the kitchen: reusable and eco-friendly beeswax food wraps. Learn all about the impact of packaging waste on our environment and how you can implement low-waste strategies in your home kitchen.

A guest speaker from Blue Market AK, Anchorage’s zero-waste grocery store, will join us to discuss ways that you can significantly reduce packaging waste in your kitchen. $5 materials fee; Registration required. Scholarships available upon request, email Sierra Young at syoung@anchoragemuseum.org.

Visit How to Survive on the third floor for more inspiration and innovations as we caretake our world.
