Bike Tour: Cold War Era Alaska

Strap on a helmet and set off on a bike tour exploring Alaska’s place in the security of the Arctic. Starting at the Kincaid Chalet, the route will wind in and around Kincaid Park exploring how geography has shaped conflict, innovation and cooperative partnerships between allies.
Led by museum staff and military historian Kristi Swain (Ted Stevens Center), this tour will consider moments of both conflict and diplomacy that add to the history that has shaped our city.
Free. Tour begins at the Kincaid Park Chalet and covers about ten miles; may not be suitable for all riders. Meet at 5 p.m., ride begins at 5:30 p.m. rain or shine. Bikes not provided. In partnership with Bike Anchorage.
