The Anchorage Museum Book Club meets four times a year. Come together to read and discuss works of fiction and non-fiction focused on the histories and cultures of the Circumpolar North. After each book club discussion, explore the museum’s galleries and view art, objects, and cultural belongings related to the book. In “The Cruelest Miles,” learn the true story of the diphtheria epidemic that struck Nome in 1925, and the heroic men and dogs that saved the day.
