Hear from exhibition artists Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir & Mark Wilson as they discuss the exhibition and their collaborative research project, Visitations: Polar Bears Out of Place, a three-year research project run by Icelandic and international universities, galleries and museums to contribute to a growing body of knowledge concerning human/non-human relations and habitat in a time of global warming and rising sea levels.
This semi-formal artist talk will be led by Aaron Leggett, senior curator of Alaska history and Indigenous culture for the Anchorage Museum.
After the artist talk, visit the ConocoPhillips Arctic Gallery at 7 p.m. for an informal talk with the exhibition artists; guest of the artists Ron Broglio (Arizona State University); and Visitations project manager Ólöf Gerður Sigfúsdóttir.
